Prophetic Words

October 23, 2009

On Wednesday Oct. 21st, 2009 the Lord showed me a spider plant growing up out of the area the middle of the US.  It was a mature plant that had long shoots that some call “babies”.  These babies are capable of taking root and growing into a self sustaining plant.  However, the spot they land on must be acceptable soil and the conditions must be such that the baby will not move around.  When gardeners are attempting to help the babies take root, they usually stake the baby down during the time that it is taking root.

I saw several babies coming from the mother plant located in the central US.  One was located here in the Black Hills.  The Lord did not show me the locations of the other babies.  I believe part of the message was that even if we have a baby shoot in our area (revival fire/Presence) it will not take root until we have the soil prepared and have some ”immovable” stakes to hold it in place while it takes root.  I believe the stakes are people that will hold on to revival, no matter how hard the wind is blowing against them.  I am not sure what soil preparation is left, we will just have to keep seeking Him and listening and then being obedient to the instructions we receive.

A Lead Angel Sighted In Central US

We were directed to leave the heartland gate of the North with the instructions to go to the beltline of the USA into the middle. A phrase we had never heard before. To our surprise the press of the Lord was very intense to get to this location and than the amazing encounter began!   HE continued to give us dreams on the route of a home of the 1900's that had everything and all furniture and documents still intact and that we were walking into this home.

We were sent into the middle in an area that was apart of a mighty sweep of the spirit 100 years ago. We knew nothing of this area or even the move of God that came from this area until God began to unfold this.

On Sunday October 18, 2009 we were led to a small town in the Midwest into a land once owned by a revivalist in the 1900's while there we were directed to one part of the land. As we walked to where the Holy Spirit directed us we stepped right into an amazing pillar of light about 15ft round. We could tell we had stepped into this atmosphere change as it was so sharp of a contrast and also I must note a holy feel beyond normal measures in this space. I remember praying in tongues that seemed so fluent and angelic in this holy atmosphere. In this zone was an angel He (an angel to America) stood with a cream cloth draped on his arms that went to the ground. He the angel was very awake and just waiting for his queue from heaven to proceed into his task for this end times.

Our whole being felt transformed in this light, such purity it was and holiness in this space. I felt to test this space by stepping out of it to see how it would before a change of spiritual feeling. It clearly was marked and easy to sense.  We now began to pray and decree to release this anointing or purposes of God to the nations with the endtime continuance of this mantle purposes and many other prayers, like to awaken the destiny for this hour of Gods holy move. We wondered if this very presence of God was what they felt in the move of God in the 1900's what they called the holiness move!

We knew this mantle which appeared to still be here after 100 years had awaited its season to reactivate in its endtimes purposes (which is a word that was given during this 100 yr old revival and that in 100 yrs another outpouring would happen) The angel had another mantle he held and we knew he was extending it to us behind this veil.  As we continued to pray we say a small box 15x18x18 come up from the ground, we saw the earth crack open to a deep recess, we saw a pillar of light to the heavens, we saw a mantle just under the ground on top of a part of the land that the Lord said was a favorite prayer spot.   As we prayed there was a since of loss we felt for these revivalists as the work was dropped all so quickly after their going to heaven as if it was incomplete.  We prayed release now the continuance of this commission in these end times. We knew this angel was on guard in the middle of the nation at the beltline area and was awake just standing there waiting for the moment Gods history to do his role in activating this region for the outpouring.

A day later again we saw this angel to America blow (No. So. E and W)  through a trumpet like shape again- again, He was using some type of weapons also to do warfare and HE also appeared to have a whirlwind around him going very fast that appeared all the way to the heavens!  Angels were ascending and descending up this vortex of old.  We heard shortly after this that others had heard of people in a few other spots in the last few months  in the nation going to other angels standing post calling them to wake up!

That evening Dale had a dream of a circular large object that was coming down to the earth through the 2nd heaven, it was oozing out white midst (Glory) everywhere and falling through the atmosphere.

We knew this was a move of God the endtime continuance of what was 100 years ago.  We knew this outpouring would be identical to the move in the 1900s but a furtherance of His Work on earth. This is the mighty day of Yahweh!

Do Not Call On Familiar Spirits Of The Past

Turn not to those mediums who have familiar spirits or to wizards; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God. Leviticus 19:31 Amplified Bible

“Familiar spirits” was all that the Lord said at first. The Lord knows how to pique my curiosity and that I will do the research to find out what He is talking about. All I really knew was that familiar spirits were not of God, as I had been led by to Holy Spirit to break them off of people that I had ministered to in the past. Then I realized that I did not know if they were mentioned in the Bible. A search in my computerized Bible did not give any results until I checked the Amplified Bible and the KJV. When I went to my printed Bible, it merely stated: “Do not turn to mediums or wizards; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God. Leviticus 19:31 ESV   So what does a medium have to do with familiar spirits? How did the translators make the leap from mediums to familiar spirits? Then the Lord reminded me of what mediums do. They bring up the spirits of those that have already passed. And who do the people that use mediums usually ask to be brought up? People that they are ‘familiar’ with; relatives, friends or people that were a source of comfort or encouragement or wisdom when they were alive. 1Samuel 28 records the incident when Saul went to a medium and had her bring up the spirit of Samuel. We all know that Saul did not finish well.

Then the Lord started revealing to me how many people, including some Christians are allowing things and places of this world to become familiar spirits. It seems only natural, that when things seems to be unraveling around us, as the world seems to be doing right now, that we would seek places and people where we have known peace, comfort, encouragement and direction in past tough times. If the people and places are given to us by God, they will continue to be a blessing. But, if they don’t lead us to God’s presence, they may become a familiar spirit. How can this happen?

Most of us have at least one special person we have always turned to for wisdom and direction. If that person is gifted in traditional wisdom, but not well connected with God, they may just be leading us astray. God tells us that he “Will astound these people with wonder upon wonder; the wisdom of the wise will perish, the intelligence of the intelligent will vanish. Isaiah 29:14 Many of us have sat in meetings discussing what course that organization should take in the future, and inevitably someone will state “Conventional wisdom would have us do …” Or maybe we will hear “Current wisdom dictates that …”, indicating that they have the latest and greatest wisdom. What does the Lord suggest we do as we make plans in these times? He re-emphasized what He wrote in Proverbs 29:18 – “Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint.” We need God’s vision and wisdom and knowledge, else the people will follow their own visions, running each their own way, leading to chaos, and eventually ruin. Does this not sound a little bit familiar, like what is happening in America today? So, who do we seek for guidance in times like this? Obviously, the first answer is God. But what if one isn’t quite to a point in their walk with Him that they are hearing His voice on regular basis? Then they need to continue seeking the Lord and seek out people that do have a close relationship with the Lord, people that are walking in a prophetic gift. Preferably people that can not only hear God’s voice, but can also lead them on the path that will allow them to hear His voice for themselves. If someone is seeking direction concerning business or career matters, they need to be seeking current day Daniels and Josephs, people that not only have a close relationship with the Lord, but are also well versed in the ways of the world. These people can interpret God’s visions and words into a language that the world understands.

What are those familiar spirits that we seek out for peace? They can be many things or places. If someone has that special place where they go and are completely cut off from everything, including God, then they have a familiar spirit in the form of a place. If, on the other hand, that special place is somewhere they go and can experience the presence of Him, then they have found true peace. Jesus has already paid the price for our peace, we just need to seek Him out and receive it in faith. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

What the Lord said about familiar spirits that offer comfort was somewhat surprising. We all know that God is many things; King, Lord, Savior, Creator, etc., but sometimes it is easy to seek comfort from other sources. We each have our favorite comfort food, comfortable clothes, favorite easy chair, and all those other things that are familiar to us, bringing us comfort in a sense of security, in that they don’t change and give us a sense of feeling better.  They are always there for us. And of course, if we have that special friend which we can just hang out with, that person that you feel comfortable talking about almost anything or nothing. Sometimes we seek comfort and peace in “mindless” activities. These could include such things as playing solitaire on the computer, playing fetch with the dog, watching old movies… That one struck a nerve with me, I love old westerns. They are a great source of comfort for me. There are always a few action scenes to get me interested. For the most part the storyline is so obviously fiction that it does not remind me of any real current events, and the good guys always win! So what do all these sources of comfort lack?  Although they can give us momentary comfort by taking our minds off of our problems, none of them can change the situation or circumstances that led up to us needing comfort in the first place. But God can! All through the Bible we are told that God can and does comfort His children. And since Jesus ascended back to heaven, we have a special Comforter. “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.” John 14:16

Where do we go for encouragement when times are challenging? If we are encouraged by well meaning friends that repeat those over used clichés such as; “Things will get better, they always do.” “Good ole Yankee ingenuity will find a solution.” “This is America, we will overcome.” “This has always worked in the past.” “Joe is the smartest man I know, if he says it will work, it will work.” “Sam is the richest man I know, if he is buying, I am going to buy too.” Some, or maybe all of these may be turn out to be true, but why not seek encouragement from the One that knows what is the truth for now and forever? “When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me.” John 15:26

Why not seek out the One that is the source of encouragement?

You hear, O LORD, the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry. Psalms 10:17

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus. Romans 15:5

Judas and Silas, who themselves were prophets, said much to encourage and strengthen the brothers. Acts 15:32

Is it sin to turn to these familiar things and people for our needs? In of themselves, these things and people are not evil. It is only when we turn to these things to meet needs, instead of turning to God for what He has promised He will do for us that we are allowing the enemy into our lives. When we are ignoring God and seeking other sources for our needs, we are then in violation of the first commandment: Thou shall have no other gods before Me. Have you ever wondered what Jesus thinks as He listens to us dismiss the promises He has made. He tells us not to worry about what we will eat and wear, yet we do. He tells us that He will not forsake us, but often we believe He has. I wonder if He would like to say something like “If you believe I paid your way to get into heaven, can’t you believe in me for a loaf of bread?”

Remember who is God and in control:
Turn not to those mediums who have familiar spirits or to wizards; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God.Leviticus 19:31 Amplified Bible

If we were turning to the familiar spirits brought forth by mediums, here is what He has to say:
“If a person turns to mediums and wizards, whoring after them, I will set my face against that person and will cut him off from among his people.” Leviticus 20:6 ESV

The Lord also reminded me that even religious rituals can become familiar spirits if we don’t perform them with a pure heart. If the ritual leads us to God, as it is supposed to do, and we understand that He is our source for all that is good, we will be blessed. But if we think we are blessed just because we participated in the ritual, we have missed Him and His blessings.
“These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.” Matthew 15:8-9

So, in a nutshell, what are familiar spirits? They are any familiar thing, person, place, or belief that is not of God, which we turn to first, or instead of seeking God for that which He has promised. All of the promises He made to us in the Bible are available to us through faith.

There are three things that really excite God:
Love. Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ “Matthew 22:37-39
Faith. “According to your faith will it be done to you.” Matthew 9:29
“ I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20
Seeking Him. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek HimHebrews 11:6

The Lord concluded by warning me that “The past is filled with familiar spirits, leave them there.”

Pray For How You Want Your Nation

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. John 15:7

While I was seeking the Lord for revelation and guidance early this morning, the Lord told me to “Pray for the nation that you want.”   I immediately knew what He meant.
Many of us have been praying prayers that are consistent with 2Chronicles 7:14, as we seek healing for our land. If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. We have been humbly seeking Him in prayer and asking for conviction for all the things of which we need to repent.
Many have also been led to offer prayers similar to what Daniel offered up to God as recorded in Daniel 9:4-19, seeking forgiveness for the many sins of our nation.
And, many have stepped up our cries to the Lord that “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” Matt. 6:10These are all great prayers, prayers that I have prayed often in the last few weeks, as the election approaches and the economic crisis continues. I am sure that we will be led to continue in these prayers into the future, but the Lord wants us to pray for even more.
I had spent considerable time yesterday studying and meditating on Jesus’ message to us from John, chapters 14-17, especially the scriptures that promise those who believe in Jesus will receive answers to their prayers while they are doing even greater works that He did during His earthly ministry. So when the Lord told me to “Pray for the nation that you want,” I knew that sometimes we limit God when we pray for” too little”. When we pray for a specific candidate in an election, or even when we pray for the election to result with a winner that will nominate the right people for judges, we have limited the issues that we want God to address.
The metaphor that the Lord gave me was the Israelites. What would have happened if they, being weary of their status as slaves, working long hard hours every day, had started a prayer revival seeking a forty hour work week?   If God would have answered such a prayer (whatever you ask), they would have been still imprisoned by slavery, although they would only have to work forty hours a week, but they would not have had any money to go out for dinner in their spare time. So how does this apply to America today? When you pray for our nation, do not limit God to intervening in just the election or just the economy. Do not just seek a return to our former comfort zone, pray that His kingdom come to earth, just as in heaven. Is there a credit crunch in Heaven? How about a shortage of energy? Is anyone sick in Heaven? Do people openly mock God in Heaven? Obviously this list could go grow very long.
So, how should we pray for our country? We should not give up praying consistent with 2Chronciles 7:14 or Daniel 9. Should we make a long list of all the things that would be good for America, and pray that every day? No, we should just pray for the things that we are passionate about because of a burden that God has placed on our heart. Concerning this point, the Lord reminded me of James 5:16 - “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” It is much easier to offer a fervent prayer on a subject that the Lord has made us passionate about by giving us a burden on our heart. I am not even going to share my list, I don’t want to limit anybody from including anything that is on their hearts. Do not limit yourself, if you are passionate about hanging flowers in the downtown area of your community, pray for it, God has unlimited resources!
